Like All Good Things...They Come to an End  06.18.2010
Our trip came to end on Sunday with a bonus adventure for Lisa and Becky. They got on a bus like they had done before with no problems. After awhile Lisa realized they were on the wrong bus. They hurried and got off at the closest stop. The first guy they ran into tells them, "You make the neighborhood look good!" YIKES!!! They hurried right on out of there and got back to the convention center!

We had a ton of FUN and were grateful to have wonderful booth neighbors. They were willing to share ideas and things that had worked for them. And here they are!

Come see us in Houston in the fall!

Open for Business  06.08.2010
Friday our booth opened for business. The day went by quickly as we demonstrated the Box-It Bag Bottom Ruler many times and sold a ton of patterns. As we did the demo people would say, "Why didn't I think of that?" Because you're NOT Terry! We didn't really say that.

We wound down our night at Zelo. It was a very interesting dinner with the pedaling pub going by, a couple of people getting arrested, and a horse drawn carriage. Friday night on this street was completely different than the other week days. It was quite entertaining!

Terry ROCKED School House  06.02.2010

The booth was mostly set up and now it was time for Terry to go teach a class for school house on the Long & Lean Series. It was standing room only! Lisa and Becky strutted their stuff down the catwalk to show everybody the detail of the Long & Leans. Later everybody that stopped by referred to them as the "Vanas."

They had a drawing for all three days of market for those that attended the school house class. The winners were:
They each won two patterns of their choice.

This school house class brought a lot of attention to the Thankfully Sew booth and made the Long & Leans Series the hottest selling patterns.

The Adventure Begins  05.29.2010

International Quilt Market was a BLAST!!! (Other than one of the girls wasn't able to make it, because little Reese broke her foot.)

We had to start things off right once we all got there with a massage and a nice dinner along the Mississippi River.

The playing didn't last long once our freight arrived. A complete day of work and the MacGyver skills of Terry, the booth was set up. We had bubble wrap and mailing tubes in the strangest places. Oh, and you can't forget the zip ties, they became our friends. (Maybe we shouldn't be giving our secrets away!)

We ended our day at Rock Bottom, no not emotionally silly, to eat. There we were cut off from ordering too much food. First time that has happened!

Check back real soon, there will be more to follow about our trip to our first International Quilt Market in Minneapolis.
